5 Senses
The five senses are a tremendous thing. The feeling of freshly cut grass, the smell of it. Things that can only be experienced no learned. The sound of cars passing by on the freeway nearby, the occasional dogs bark. Sitting in a lawn hearing the wind rustle through the trees, the children laughing playing with whatever toys were available. The colors of the flowers in the flower bed. The heat of the sun the filtering light through the cloudy haze. the feeling of the cool breeze against my face. Buzzing of bees going about their business. colors blending together from all of the flowers, the green grass, blue sky, and red dodge charger ruining the mood. The smell of gasoline ruining the fresh scent of the park. The sound of children using the water fountain then going back to making high pitch chatter of children having a good time. Adults chatting about their days, all of the sounds of the mundane. The end of the session, a child about the age of 3 tripped around me and started wailing at the top of his lungs because of the scrapes on his knees, his parents distinctly ignored him with a look of exasperation. The feeling of serenity quickly dispersed as the sounds of life collided with me.

Chris,
ReplyDeleteNice work here. Your search for peace and beauty is disrupted by "gasoline" and a crying child. LIfe has such contrast. Your detail and description bring that life into the foreground. Well done.
